Abstract:Entanglement-assisted quantum error-correcting codes (EAQECCs) are a generalization of quantum stabilizer codes. In contrast to the latter codes, the former codes can be constructed from classical codes that do not have the dual-containing property. In this talk, we discuss constructions of EAQECCs from algebraic plane curves. Applying the so-called Euclidean construction, we derive some families of EAQECCs from a number of algebraic curves. We also consider EAQECCs from the Hermitian construction.
