Abstract:The hull of a linear code is its intersection with its dual, where the dual is often defined with respect to Euclidean. The Euclidean hull with low dimensions gets much interest due to its crucial role in determining the complexity of algorithms for computing the automorphism group of a linear code and for checkingpermutation equivalence of two linear codes. In this talk, we present tools from algebraic function fields to study the Euclidean hull of algebraic geometry codes. From a number of algebraic curves, we explore explicit constructions of linear codes with one-dimensional hull.
