Abstract: In the second talk, we will switch to Lieb-Thirring inequality, which concerns the optimization of the N first eigenvalues of an operator, and talk about other general fermionic inequalities. I will demonstrate how a subtle tunnelling effect between fermions can bound the system together. In particular, I will exhibit a non-linear model where a system with N=1 particle is never stable, while optimizers with N=2 fermions can exist.
