Abstract:I will provide a new perspective on classifying tiling\spectral sets in Z_n\times Z_n using symplectic forms. The method is taken from a similar problem concerning Gabor systems, and applies to Fourier systems as well. It can then be shown that tiling sets and spectral sets coincide if n is the square of a prime number.
