Abstract:Let Ass be the unital associative algeba operad. In this talk, we aim to study the identities of a PI-algebra by operadic ideals of Ass. In fact, an associative algebra is PI if and only if it is an algebra over a quotient operad of Ass. The classifications of PI-algebras of low-exponent 1, 3, 4 and 5 are obtained. This is a joint work with Dong-Xing Fu, Jiang-Nan Xu and Zhi-Bing Zhao.
