On low-degree optimal finite element schemes

报告人张硕简介:2008年博士毕业于北京大学。现任中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院副研究员。研究方向为有限元方法、多水平方法及保结构算法。在 Numerische Mathematik, SIAM Journal on Numerical Analyais, IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis, Journal of Computational Physics 等杂志上发表论文多篇。

Abstract:It is a fundamental topic and of both theoretical and practical meanings to construct optimal schemes, especially ones of low degrees. In this talk, some low-degree optimal finite element schemes are presented for second/fourth order elliptic problems on triangular/quadrilateral grids. Both source problems and eigenvalue problems are discussed, and some interesting phenomena are introduced beside the construction and analysis of the methods
