- I will revise the classical topic on the existence of minimizers and the compactness of minimizing sequences for Sobolev inequalities. In particular, I will discuss recent joint work with Charlotte Dietze on a simplified version of the concentration-compactness principle, which leads to a new proof of the compactness in the critical case.
