- We study the free boundary regularity in the Monopolist's problem,a variational problem with convexity constrannt aristng in economic mechanism design .In dimension two,we show that the free boundary is locally a C1 curve under natural assumptigns The proof relies on a detailed analysis of the geometry of contact sets and the fine structure of affine regions of the minimizer. Based on a joint work with Alessio Figalli and Yi Zhang.
